Baby Mama NO Drama

I'm a Morning Radio Personality, Co Creator of a successful Baby Product and MOM of 2 little girls! I'm not the only busy person. So why is it we often choose to do unnecessary work? This blog is about taking the easy road. You may have ideas, agree with me or think I'm lazy. I welcome your comments. There are many shortcuts that will take us to the same place. Let's take them all, so we all may have time for more dance parties!

The Believability Factor

So, I was totally right about the American Idol Top 24. Will that raise my stress level that I actually have some level of credibility to uphold? Nah. When I am wrong, I'll admit it and move on.

American Idol- Love it but you don't have the time?

It's a great show, but 4 hours a week good? I don't think so. Here it is, The NO Drama way to watch American Idol.  1) The morning after it airs, read any post wrap up online about it. MSNBC has a good one. 2) Watch the talked about clips on YouTube. Just like that:You are in the loop in under 15 minutes. 3)If you want to skip Hollywood week all together, this guy claims to have the Top 24. 4) The only time to watch the whole episode is Tuesday nights when it gets down to the top 12, DVR it and skip commercials of course. 5) Don't even bother with those Wednesday episodes AT ALL. 6) Listen to our show Thursday mornings and we'll tell you  who got sent home.

Can you take a day off with NO DRAMA?

You may think "What's the worst thing that could happen if I took a day off?" Well IT HAPPENED TO ME! Click to listen....I was just talking to our news guy Justin who says he has 5 weeks of vacation. I wondered why he announced this, "Are you just bragging?" He replied, "No, I can't use it." "What?!?!" Newsflash: This place will run without you! It doesn't matter who you are or where you work, when you take a day off,  it'll be business as usual. My dad is the worst offender of this. He just went into semi-retirement, working 3 days a week. I asked him "Are you so excited about your new beginning?" He said "No, I'm worried the arrangement won't work."  Are you kidding? You now have time for more dance parties!

What are you doing for New Year's?

This week it's what everybody's talking about, "What are you doing for New Year's?" Could there be a more overrated night? Every establishment has "the biggest party of the year." Oh great, I get to pay a hundred dollars for a "noisemaker and champagne toast at midnight complete with a cash bar." Even my New York for Dummies book says Times Square is the worst place to go for New Year's. So, why do we all stress ourselves out with creating the perfect plan? The more we plan, the less fun we have. For about 5 years, I have been going to a party at my friend Fishbone's house. A bunch of people get together, put the kids to bed and have drinks. It's cheap, easy, fun, and NO DRAMA.

If doing cards causes you anxiety, physical stress, and angst STOP DOING THEM! What is the worst that can happen? Your aunt who you talk to twice a year will tell you she didn't get one? She's only asking you because she's looking for something to say besides "How are you?". Click here to listen how to get out of Card Chaos.  Free yourself of the shackles of unnessessary pain. Give yourself more time for dance parties!

This Baby Mama wants NO Drama for Christmas!!

If you come to my house for the holidays you will notice a FAKE tree. Click to listen to a guy who claims a fake tree killed his bird! My morning show partner, Dennis will argue that I am missing out on the experience of taking the family out. For what? To hear them complain about the cold, catch colds, transporting a tree, unloading it, fitting it in the door, mounting it...then decorating it! Here's what I do: take it out of the basement, fluff it and decorate it! And there's time left over for cocoa and a family dance party.
